    NCC/Scout & Guides

Scouting and Guiding are worldwide youth movements that aim to develop young people’s skills, character, and leadership qualities through outdoor activities, community service, and educational programs. The two major organizations are the Boy Scouts and the Girl Guides (known as Girl Scouts in some countries), although there are many other scouting and guiding organizations globally.

Scouts and Guides participate in various activities such as camping, hiking, orienteering, first aid, cooking, and environmental conservation projects. These activities are designed to promote teamwork, self-reliance, and a sense of responsibility towards others and the environment.

Both movements have a strong emphasis on values like honesty, integrity, and respect for others, and they often incorporate elements of community service and citizenship into their programs. Many people who have been involved in scouting or guiding as children have fond memories of the experiences and the lifelong friendships they formed.
